S. Al-Helli, Hassan. A. Fazaa, Samaa H. Ali author@email.com
60 roughy fish were collected from the selected station in the thirsty river near the city of Samawa during the study period between October 2019 to September 2020. The models were examined for parasites that infect them and it was found that these fish were infected with eight types of parasites belonging to six main groups that included ciliates ( Trichodina lepsii), myxobolus sandrae, Ascocotyle coleostoma, Monogenic worms (Solostamenides paucitesriculatus), Neoechinorhynchus iraqensis, and crustaceans (Dermoergasilus varicoilus, Ergasilus rostralis and Paraergasilus inflatus), infested with 8 percent of the infestations with the infestation of Paraspores. The percentage and the average and the severity of infection with the monogenetic worm is 10%, while the percentage and the average and the severity of the infection of the worms are 8% and 4.2, respectively, and the percentage and the average and the severity of the cortical P. inflatus infestation is 28%, 4, respectively, and the percentage and the severity of the cortical infestation in the northern and southern stations, respectively.
2024-03-14T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 JJM
