Abstract

Corona Pandemic (Covid-19) has made a devastating impact on the global economy from the very beginning of 2020. The impact of the second wave pandemic worsens the present crisis of the tourism industry that yet struggles to overcome. Global tourism is facing a significant threat as ever in its history. However, The World Tourism Organisation has taken this crisis as an opportunity to stop the ill-effect of tourism (UNWTO, 2020). Further, UNWTO suggested adopting responsible tourism strategies to mitigate the negative impact. Kerala's model for responsible tourism has showed an excellent model for community empowerment and sustainable development. So, this study aims to analyse various strategies undertaken by responsible tourism mission Kerala.
