A Study on Impact of E-Learning on the Satisfaction and Performance of Higher Secondary Students During Covid-19

Abstract

In this pandemic situation of COVID-19, tremondous rise of online mode has taken place as E-Learning which has increased students convience with high geographical remote students with more tertiary education.Its success depends upon students access towards technology and internet for online courses.Even though its a new mode every student should be knowing how to use technology as per E-learning.With the  COVID-19 pandemic has forced students to turn the ongoing lifestyle of education to online mode.Hence, it is very important to understand potential of e-learning to maintain equitable access to education in such situations.The study found the majority(60%) are Unavailability of high-speed internet, instability of internet connection, power supply issues, ineffectiveness of lab/practical and course structure are the prime factors affecting the academic performance. It was also found that the satisfaction level of the students varied significantly based on their respective geographical location as well. The study has collected 246 respondednts from students of 11th and 12th std from each districts of Kerela.
