Mathematics of Mutations

Abstract

The idea of reproduction of cells and its effects have been a great focus of study in recent decades in biological sciences. In particular, the variations caused by mutations among cells during reproduction activity are important factors to analyze. In this paper, we have considered the effect of mutations that happen between two types as well as between n types. A simple mathematical model has been developed and we have arrived at an important conclusion regarding the coexistence of the types considered.
