Ameliorative Effect of Phytotherapeutic Formulated Triphala on Imidacloprid induced Toxicity in Albino Wistar Rats

Abstract

Triphala is a naturopathic herbal rasayanaformula contains equal combinations of three myrobalans, which are used as deseeded. Harada (Terminalia chebula), Bihara (Terminalia bellirica), Amla (Phyllanthus emblica) and these three herbals mixed together as Triphala being a natural medicine, it treats multitude of people. It is mostly used tofor boosting the immune system, bowel movement, protecting and strengthening the organs specifically hepatic, renal and neuro protective activities and cleansing the Gastro intestinal tract.Imidacloprid is an insecticide related to the tobacco toxin nicotine and also used to control the sucking insects, termites in the agricultural field. The current study is to assess the risk factors, morphological, organs alterations associated with hepatic cells. The effects were repeated by the oral administration of Imidacloprid over 28 days and the phytotherapeutic efficacy of Triphala was also investigated.
