A Descriptive Analytical Study to Assess the Efficacy of Combination of Various Drugs in the Treatment of COVID-19 Infections

Abstract

Purpose and Background: The purpose of this study is to examine the efficacy of several medications that are administered for the treatment of patients who have mild, moderate and severe case.


Methods: This was a descriptive analytical study to assess the efficacy of combination of various drugs in the treatment of adult patients with confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection. Different treatment strategies were observed and evaluate the various inflammatory markers, SPO2 and RR level.


Results:  A total number of 237 patients’ data were collected in this study plan under mild, moderate and severe categories.


Conclusion: Patients with mild, moderate and severe COVID- 19 infection, when treated with different drug combination, inflammatory markers like Di-Dimer, PCT, CRP, FERRITIN and disease severity markers were more likely to improve in the sense of significance at the time of discharge.
